About Us

The International Energy Studies (IES) Group provides innovative scientific analysis that enables countries to consider policies, implement programs, and deploy technologies to meet energy needs efficiently and sustainably.

Our group conducts rigorous analysis of the policy, economic, and technical issues that are most relevant to transitioning to a clean, efficient, reliable, and affordable energy system. We work collaboratively with energy researchers, policy makers, suppliers, and consumers in emerging economies and elsewhere to facilitate effective clean energy policies and programs by providing objective analyses and building capacity. We also facilitate exchanges of ideas and build capacity through training and hosting of researchers around the world.
